“There is a line in a song by Barbara McAfee that goes, ‘How do you want to be while you’re doing what you do?’ This describes the heart of my coaching: partnering with my clients to bring out their best ways of being while they can do their best work.”
Charles Feltman coaches executives and senior managers in developing the leadership presence, trust-based relationships, visionary thinking, and collaborative leadership that produce exceptional business results. His approach is to coach the whole person his client is, including mind, emotions, body, and the larger context of relationships in which they work.
He partners with clients to achieve the results they want for themselves and their company. This can include helping clients take new perspectives on old concerns, changing habitual patterns of thinking and feeling that are getting in the way, and calling attention to situations when words and actions are not well aligned. Charles’ coaching style is often described by clients as direct but not directive, results-oriented, and firmly rooted in what his clients deeply care about. His intent for all of his coaching is that his clients’ work reflects what they authentically care about, they set meaningful goals and have the capacity to achieve them, and they find satisfaction from the results.
Charles is author of The Thin Book® of Trust: An Essential Primer for Building Trust in the Workplace, based on his work with individuals and teams around issues of trust, integrity, commitment, conflict management, and accountability. He has also been a community mediator and facilitator for over 30 years. As a coach, facilitator and mediator, Charles has helped hundreds of people achieve greater success and well being by building trust, transcending betrayal and finding reconciliation in their work, community and personal lives.
